About the event

In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's legacy, the City of Rowlett Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission is hosting their 3rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Community Event. The event will include passionate speakers, performers, vendors, and a "Continuing the Dream Contest" for local students. Are you in elementary through high school and interested in competing? Complete the Continuing the Dream Contest Form before 5:00pm on Thursday, January 4 for consideration. The organizers will contact you to confirm your participation and answer any questions. Terms & Conditions

  • I will arrive at no later than 9:00am.
  • I will look at the site map and make sure I know my assigned spot before arriving to the event.  
  • I will be ready to interact with participants by 10:00am.
  • There will be outlets available for electricity and we will be providing a 10x10 space with (2) 6ft tables and (2) chairs. You are expected to bring your own decorations, including tablecloths. Special requests are required to be disclosed in your application in the space available for special requests.
