Learn how to take common kitchen finds, like plastic lids and food coloring, and turn them into a suncatcher! Participants will learn about color mixing and creating a fluid design. This project will need to dry overnight, so participants will be emailed when their suncatcher is ready to pick up. All supplies are included. This class is limited to participants 5 & up. Participants under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult to assist them with their craft. Session A of Cosmic Suncatchers will be April 6, 2022 from 10-11 AM. Session B of Cosmic Suncatchers will be from April 27, 2022 from 10-11 AM. There is a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 16. If the minimum is not met, participants will be refunded.  Please email Mary Bell, Program Manager, at mbell@kentuck.org with any questions.  About Molly Nelko: A native of Mobile, AL, Molly Nelko has joined Kentuck’s staff as our Programming Assistant! She attended Springhill College and received a BA in fine art with a focus on oil painting and printmaking. Her work has been in individual exhibitions from Portland, OR to Hilton Head SC, and can be found online. Molly currently lives in Tuscaloosa with her husband, three children, and cat Quill. She has experimented with many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are encaustic, tessellations, and ink wash. Molly currently works in her studio regularly, but her focus has become more about enjoying creative projects with her children.
